• Technology Marches On: That automatic-opening gate probably looked pretty nifty in the late Seventies.
• What Could Have Been: Servalan was originally just a one-off character to introduce Travis. However, producer David Maloney liked the character and decided to keep her. The Supreme Commander was also meant to be wearing a uniform, but Jacqueline Pearce figured there was little point in casting a woman if she didn't appear feminine, so decided to emphasize that aspect instead. The result was the creation of an iconic sci-fi villainess.
