Trivia / Bella Donna (Album)

Go To

  • Breakthrough Hit: The album's success proved that Nicks could produce good work outside of Fleetwood Mac.
  • Cut Song: At least two songs, "Blue Lamp" and "Sleeping Angel", were cut from the final album despite both being featured in her HBO Special. Until 1997, when the full recordings became available as part of a Boxed Set, the only way to hear them were on the soundtracks to Heavy Metal and Fast Times at Ridgemont High, respectively.
  • Romance on the Set: At the time of recording, Stevie was dating producer Jimmy Iovine.
  • What Could Have Been: Stevie originally wrote "Leather and Lace" for Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, but their marriage ended before they could record it. Ironically, she and Don Henley sang the duet even though they had already dated and broken up previously.
