• No Budget: Like other Wakaliwood features, this film was made on a literal shoestring budget; sixty-five dollars, to be exact, about half of which went towards renting the medical tent used by Hofmanis's character.
• Promoted Fanboy: The man who plays the doctor, Alan Hofmanis, went to Uganda after seeing the trailer for Who Killed Captain Alex? and being fascinated by it. He found his way to Wakaliga, met and befriended director Isaac Nabwana, and eventually became the only white star in Wakaliwood's films.
• You Look Familiar: The same actor who played Captain Alex also plays a cop who is killed by Swaaz in the opening scene's shootout. Lampshaded in VJ Emmie's commentary:
  "He's alive! Captain Alex is alive!" *BANG* "...he's dead. Captain Alex is s-o-o dead."
  "Who killed Captain Alex? Schwarzenegger."
