• What Could Have Been: The original idea for the story was Rick Jones waking up in a world where the timeline had been radically altered somehow. Then Howard Mackie's Mutant X came along, with its premise of Havok stuck in an alternate timeline which was radically different. So Busiek and Pacheco altered their plans a little.
• According to Kurt Busiek, Killraven's appearance in Avengers Forever was Carlos Pacheco's idea. Pacheco wanted Killraven to be an Avenger during the Martian Invasion. It was also Pacheco who suggested the aged Black Panther and Jocasta be members. Busiek himself contributed Crimson Dynamo, Living Lightning, and Thundra.
