• Write What You Know: Several chunks of the story take place in The Other Rainforest; SonaBeahSidhe is a native of Washington State. Several of the Irish characters are somewhat based off of a few of her family members, who are themselves Irish immigrants (though she hasn't specified just who). Multiple chapters take place in Yellowstone National Park, which both authors have visited, and AnnEllspethRaven has used photos from a real-life trip to New York City to illustrate chapters set there.
