• Bad Export for You: The USA/European version removes character portraits in the dialogue, making it difficult to distinguish who's saying what. This affects the endings badly, as without those portraits, it's impossible to recognize that the characters in the ending are the same people you interacted with the entire time. The portraits were restored for the 2023 Switch release, along with a new English translation.
• Promoted Fanboy: The creative director of Assault Suit Valken Declassified, Ollie "Cacophanus" Barder, was a vocal fan of the original release as well as a major proponent of mech gaming in general. He's also the "world class player" of the ingame superplay.
