* {{Defictionalization}}: [[http://www.sisudevices.com/projects/Intel-Pipe-Dream-Demo-IDF-2011/ Intel]] has made a [[https://youtu.be/8Z5Z5zo1Rc4 real, working model]] of Animusic's "Pipe Dream" machine, balls and all. Although the machine itself needed some PragmaticAdaptation. The balls don't activate the notes, as evidenced when balls miss their mark but the note still plays.[[note]]In addition, the balls bounce off of flat surfaces instead of strings, which is much easier to control. The monorail xylophone doesn't dispense variable notes for a ball to hit. The bells stay where they are, and don't raise or lower at all.[[/note]]
