Trivia / After Life (2019)

• Adored by the Network: Netflix were extremely happy with the positive response to the show, especially with season 2, to the point that they managed to convince Ricky Gervais to break the habit of a lifetime and agree to a third season, the first time he has ever done so for a fictitious series that he created (An Idiot Abroad ran for three seasons, but isn't fictitious).
• Production Posse: The show reunites Gervais with Ashley Jensen, Kerry Godliman and David Earl, who all appeared with Gervais in Derek and Extras.
• Take That!: James, the needy, overweight kid who can play two recorders with his nose and aspires to be a singer and dancer, is apparently based on James Corden. Gervais and Corden have had a long-running Friendly Rivalry for years.
