- Deleted Scene: The original ending was that Emily shoots Steven after finding out what he did. His dying words are that the police would know, so she fakes a struggle, and she ends up committing the perfect murder.
- Enforced Method Acting: Sort of. In between the love scenes, Viggo Mortensen sang Argentinian love songs to calm Gwyneth Paltrow and create added intimacy, but he said in an interview he's pretty sure he just freaked her out.
