• 2010-4
  • March 29, 2010: NESMario123 creates his YouTube channel.
  • October 20, 2010: Blaze the Movie Fan creates his second YouTube channel which has since then become his main one.
  • June 22, 2010: Blaze The Movie Fan makes his first commentary.
  • July 15, 2011: MacboyRedux creates his YouTube channel.
  • October 25, 2011: Doodletones creates her YouTube channel.
  • September 9, 2012: KB Bandicoot creates his YouTube channel.
  • December, 2012: Blaze The Movie Fan quits the commentary community.
  • July 6, 2013: MacboyRedux joins the CC with his first commentary: Commentary on Lyricshooter's Rant on Smosh Haters.
  • July 21, 2013: Kirbystarwarrior creates a backup account that would go on to become the channel for the commentary group Acronym.
  • August 4, 2013: Ponder Sprocket creates her YouTube channel.
  • February 26, 2014: Rae Kohai creates Bunch of Pseudo Intellectuals.
  • Some time in May 2014: BassClefEly quits the Commentary Community.
  • August 27, 2014: Keyblade Master creates his YouTube channel.
• 2015
  • May 26, 2015: Blaze The Movie Fan announces his return to commentaries.
  • June 3, 2015: Blaze The Movie Fan returns to making commentaries.
  • June 19, 2015: Federation of the Exalted is formed by Quote Commentaries, 8363MTR, and Fukiryuko.
  • July 5, 2015: Federation of the Exalted release their first commentary: A F.O.X. Commentary - Night of the Living B.O.P. Suck-Ups.
  • December 3, 2015: Doodletones uploads her first commentary, A Blast from the Cultural Past.
  • December 8, 2015: Syndicate of Outcasted Commentators is formed by Nihilistic Snake and Dicaprio Delorean.
  • End of 2015: Blaze The Movie Fan quits commentaries for a second time.
• 2016
  • January 1, 2016: Doodletones does a review of the My Little Pony movie Rainbow Rocks, a video that would go on to start The Joshua Tree, the largest commentary chain in the community's history prior to becoming The Blob that Ate Everyone.
  • April 2, 2016: Blaze The Movie Fan returns to commentaries for good.
  • August 19, 2016: Blazing Larvesta creates his YouTube channel.
  • September 29, 2016: Doodletones uploads her 100th commentary, an 11-way co-op commentary titled The Great Hendeca-Op.
  • November 26, 2016: Keyblade Master releases his first commentary, a one-shot titled Doodletones Missed the Mark.
  • December 26, 2016: SL4Y3R creates his YouTube channel.
• 2017
  • March 23, 2017: The Direct Messenger 88 forms Corporation of the Alternative Nitpickers.
  • April 22, 2017: Swords Zenny creates his YouTube channel.
  • June 2, 2017: Federation of the Exalted releases their last commentary: A F.O.X. Commentary - Unpopularity Olympics. The group would go on to become inactive for at least two years since then.
  • June 18, 2017: Keyblade Master releases his first full-length commentary, a co-op with FyroForVictory called Boulevard of Broken Eardrums.
  • September 9, 2017: Blazing Larvesta joins the CC with his first commentary: Foolish Phantom.
  • November 17, 2017: Tomiopath creates their YouTube channel.
  • November 22, 2017: Doodletones creates The Cloud Palace. Though initially a joke channel made to poke fun at groups that form and end up making no videos, it would eventually become a legitimate commentary group.
  • December 31, 2017: Neko Koda forms Future Ultimate Commentators and Kooldudes.
• 2018
  • January 27, 2018: The Cloud Palace uploads their first commentary, 2018: A Subjective Odyssey.
  • February 19, 2018: Bunch of Pseudo Intellectuals releases The Bitch Squad - Rated R after over a year of development. The group has not made any commentaries in over two years since the video was released.
  • March 2018: Corporation of the Alternative Nitpickers disbands.
  • March 16, 2018: Acronym releases their first commentary, Tournament of Failure.
  • May 9, 2018: Synth Mav and SeriousGamer33 overthrow Nihilistic Snake as leader of Syndicate of Outcasted Commentators, and rebrand the channel into Bunch of Overthinking Bitches.
  • August 19, 2018: Umbrus forms Repcon.
  • October 7, 2018: Bunch of Overthinking Bitches, Future Ultimate Commentators and Kooldudes, and Repcon merge to form Dynasty of Idiotic Eccentrics.
  • November 7, 2018: Blaze The Movie Fan changes the title of his series from commentary to Video Thoughts. He claims that his videos are more about giving his opinion on other video rather than being objective.
• 2019
  • May 4, 2019: Doodletones, Blazing Larvesta, SL4Y3R, and Sean S map out the hybrid chain that would go on to be called The Blob That Ate Everyone.
  • October 2, 2019: Dynasty of Idiotic Eccentrics announces their secession from the Commentary Community.
• 2020
  • July 21, 2020: Doodletones creates the Slideshow Commentary Community Wiki.
