A timeline of the events in Someday Or One Day in chronological order.
1998:
- Li Zi Wei and Mo Jun Jie befriend Chen Yun Ru.
- Xie Zhong Ru is possessed by his younger brother, Xie Zhi Qi.
- Yun Ru is attacked by Zhong Ru (Zhi Qi) and falls unconscious.
- Huang Yu Xuan wakes up in Yun Ru's body.
- Cai Wen Rou is murdered by Zhong Ru (Zhi Qi).
1999:
- Yun Ru dies. Jun Jie goes to prison for 9 years.
2003:
- Zi Wei gets into a car accident. His soul travels to 2010 and inhabits the body of Wang Quan Sheng.
- Zi Wei, back in his body, wakes up from his accident-induced coma in the hospital.
2008:
- Jun Jie is released from prison.
- Jun Jie commits suicide.
2010:
- Quan Sheng attempts suicide, but Zi Wei wakes up in his body and swims up.
- Yu Xuan meets Quan Sheng (Zi Wei).
2017:
- Li Zi Wei and Quan Sheng (Zi Wei) meet at the airport.
- Quan Sheng (Zi Wei) goes missing in a plane crash. Zi Wei's soul goes back to his own body in 2003, after the car accident.
2019:
- Yu Xuan's soul travels to 1998, inhabiting the body of Yun Ru.
- Zhi Qi's soul travels to 1998, inhabiting his brother Zhong Ru's body.
- Zhi Qi murders Zi Wei. He is arrested.
- Yu Xuan travels to Yun Ru's body in 1999, but is trapped while Yun Ru pretends to be her.
2020:
- Yu Xuan travels back to Yun Ru's body for the final time.
Body Possession Timeframe
- Zhi Qi is possessing Zhong Ru from the entirety of 1998 - 1999 until right when he is about to murder Yun Ru (due to getting interrupted by the arrest in 2019).
- Yu Xuan possessed Yun Ru for about a month in 1998, and for one brief moment in 1999 (Yun Ru's attempted suicide).
- Yun Ru pretended to act like Yu Xuan (Yu Xuan's soul is trapped inside her body) from the end of 1998 to early 1999.
- Zi Wei possessed Quan Sheng for 7 years, from 2010 to 2017.
- However, his soul traveled back to 2003 and remained there, meeting with the Zi Wei still in Quan Sheng's body before the flight that would lead to the incident in 2017 and reuniting with the present-day Yu Xuan in 2019. This is the Li Zi Wei that Xie Zhi Qi murders.
