The MC's rough start at Burgmeister and Royce. Arriving not knowing what to expect and perhaps filled with anxiety, he has to deal with a lot of stuff.
He has a hostile roommate, gets his treasured guitar stolen, gets kicked out of his dorm by his roommate, has to steal a girl's panties from the resident sorority for the Delta Iota Kappas for a place to stay, has to flee naked from the aforementioned sorority when caught, and all of this practically one after the other. It isn't until a few episodes pass that things really start looking up for him.
From the end of Episode 3 and much of Episode 4, the MC discovers that Josy from back home is Maya's girlfriend and is left angry and shocked. It isn't until a significant period of time passes that they finally talk and things get better.
Sage's breakup with Chad. She physically attacks him before breaking down and the MC has to comfort her while she is out in a Gray Rain of Depression, utterly heartbroken.
The MC finds out that Derek has been feeling depressed because he had a falling out with Ashley. It's not clear why, but it may be related to Derek having had sex with Wendy. The MC regrets not having been more aware and considerate of Derek's feelings.
It may later come to bite the MC in the ass if Derek finds out that the MC performed oral sex on Ashley.
The MC celebrating his birthday with his father, Neil. Neil breaks down as they eat and talk as the MC's mother, Lynette, as she died giving birth to him and Neil has never truly gotten over it. It is why the MC is not so keen on celebrating his birthday. Neil gives the MC her inheritance, which includes $5000 and Lynette's diary, for him to do as he will.
If you had romanced both Jill and Bella and choose Bella at the end of Episode 8, Jill will see MC and Bella having sex. Jill's reaction is heartbreaking.
