  • "Break-up Pasta". The host wants to break up with his girlfriend, but admits he's too much of a coward to do it the normal way, so he makes her Aglio E Olio with a note at the bottom. After getting confirmation, she thanks him for the pasta, and they part amicably.
  • "Mashed Potatopology" is all about how to use mashed potatoes to apologize for a mistake one has caused, leading up to the host having to do one face to face with his girlfriend. And then it's subverted when it turns out he didn't do anything.
  • At one point in "Choose Your Own Adventure Cookies", the host has been selected to take part in a mission to Mars... only to realize at the last moment that he left the "onion" on (as he was making cookies when he was selected). The viewer chooses the "Turn Off Onion" option, meaning he opts out of the mission, and he's noticeably bummed out.
  • "Tortilla Pizza" sees the host force Pimblokto to find a new place to live after he tries cooking again. Half of the video from this point is Pimblokto very reluctantly gathering his things and leaving. At one point, the host decides to praise his "onion", saying it's the most reliable machine he has... while Pimblokto is in the next room over.
  • Parodied: "Blueberry Smoothie" starts with the host outright saying this is a sad episode, because his sister... wants her blender back, and the host is trying to process her selfishness.
  • "Pumpkin Pie" has the host learn that his mother had been using premade pumpkin pie spice instead of making it herself, causing him to become glum over learning that his mom had been lying to him all this time... until he actually compares the premade and handmade spices, leading to him carrying on with the video without comment, using the premade spice.
  • "5 Easy Breakfasts" ends on a down note with the final recipe, as the host states that by making it, it means you will never own a home, and because he himself made it, he is shown taking his vision board outside and burning it. For the record, he made avocado toast.
  • A surprisingly sad one in "Gingerbread Cookies" where the host realizes that he misses Pimblokto. He runs out into the night trying to Pimblokto as flashbacks of when he made the robot as a child plays. The host finds Pimblokto just in time for him to shut down from the cold. Then it cuts to the host telling someone that Pimblokto is fine and is currently defrosting in the garage.
