Tear Jerker / The Pinkertons

• "On Account of Huckleberries" puts Sheriff Lawrence Logan through an emotional wringer. First, the corpse of his old lover, Isabelle O'Shaugnessy, is discovered, which leads to the revelation that Logan and Isabelle once planned to flee from her wealthy, emotionally abusive husband together. Said husband and his henchman (whom Logan always suspected of murdering Isabelle) show up and accuse the sheriff of killing Isabelle, leading him into an episode-long Heroic BSoD. Then the henchman is killed, and Logan winds up in his own jail, charged with both murders. The Bittersweet Ending only makes things worse. Logan is cleared of both murders, and Isabelle was Faking the Dead all along. Hooray! Now they can get back together — except that Isabelle has married another man and they have a son together... a son she named Lawrence. The episode ends with Logan tearfully wishing Isabelle and her family all the best.
