Tear Jerker / The King's Woman

• A moment that's also Nightmare Fuel: Ying Zheng orders the execution of his illegitimate half-brothers — who are both children — in case they become a threat later. His mother screams and begs him for mercy, while her children cry for her as they're dragged away.
• Gongsun Li realises Tian Ming will never be safe in the palace. So she tells Han Shen to take him to safety and watches sadly as they leave, while Tian Ming doesn't understand what's happening and is sobbing and shouting for her.
• Gongsun Li attacks Ying Zheng. Just when it looks like she's about to stab him, she turns the sword on herself.
• Ying Zheng's fate is both richly deserved and deeply depressing. He witnesses (and often causes) the deaths of many people around him: his half-brothers, his concubines, his parents, Li Zhong, and Gongsun Li. After Gongsun Li's suicide he's left completely alone.
