  • "Mack is Back" starts season 2 on a somber note, with Mack recapping his terrible 2019 and proclaiming that 2020 is going to be ''the'' year. However, his attempt to make a social media comeback results in instant vitriol and abuse hurled in the comments section.
  • "Mack Does Crabfest 3" is quite depressing, showing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the previously lively Crabfest festival, with everything getting packed up and the city becoming essentially a ghost town.
    • Mack attempting to start his own Crabfest and bond with passers-by, only to be mistaken as mentally disabled.
    • The ending.
  • "Mack Locked Down" is more quiet and low-key than usual, as Mack tries to stay busy during a snap statewide lockdown.
    • Mack reassuring his dog, and himself, that things will work out.
Mack: We're gonna get through this together. We're gonna get through this together.
    • Mack asserting in the hammock that he actually does know how to relax, before snapping.
Mack: Hey, listen... I know how to relax, alright? I've been relaxing since... uh... you know, a time previous to now. I know how to teach you how to relax. Come relax— okay, alright, look, I can't relax. I can't relax, I am not relaxing, I am freaking out actually. Things are very uncertain. Alright, just... [takes sunglasses off] turn the camera off, I can't do it...
    • Mack's father angrily chewing him out for attention-seeking during a pandemic.
Mack's father: Hey! What are you doing?
      Mack: What do you mean?
Mack's father: What are you doing?
Mack: [looks at piano] Playing a song...
Mack's father: Why do you have this desperate need for attention?
      Mack: I don't, I'm just trying to—
Mack's father: You do! Why do you have this desperate need for attention?
Mack: I'm just trying to, um, speak to the people, and show that I can be a constructive voice...
Mack's father: I'm shutting this camera off.
Mack: No no no, it's doing a take! It's doing a take...
Mack's father: You need help. We're gonna get you some help.
  • "Mack Fixes Life" from season 2 is Mack's darkest video yet.
    • In a dark callback to season 1's "Mack Gives a Pep Talk", we see Mack apparently attempting to drown himself in the pool. Looks like the pandemic has done a number on him.
    • When none of his ideas work to cheer him up, Mack retires to his bed and sleeps and stares blankly for several days. It is implied he didn't move the whole time, until an unseen person checks up on him, leading to this heartwrenching exchange:
Mack: I'm not feeling very good... I just feel like nothing's fun anymore, and I just don't know what I'm doing...
      • What makes it worse is that Mack's depression here and for the rest of the video is played entirely straight.
    • The montage showcasing Mack's life at this point, consisting of almost nothing but video games, "attempting to feel something", sleep, and self-diagnosis of various mental disorders.
      • Play this at 0.25x speed. The montage becomes more and more distorted and we see several very quick shots of "despair" (Mack simply lying on the floor shirtless), destroying his bedroom, and taking pills, presumably antidepressants.
      • Also Mack looking in the mirror calling himself a "useless piece of shit".
      • Mack's blink and you'll miss it Google searches. We see "strategies for coping with anxiety", "dissociation", "derealisation", and "suicidal ideation" for a single frame.
      • A split-second closeup of Mack's phone reveals that he has thought about jumping off of buildings. Possibly a callback to "Mack Dies".
