• Maxillian Acorn's death at the end of issue #4; unlike other attempts of death officially (both of which were retconned soon afterwards), this one directly goes ahead with it. Sally's oil leaks in the very last panel are even drawn like tears.
  • Earlier, he asked to see Sally and later cried seeing Lupe's husband and daughter, Lobo and Maria, sharing a moment.
• In issue 5, Orbot and Cubot inform Eggman that Mecha Sally's systems are starting to fail, many readers interpreted this as Sally losing her will to live after everything she's been forced to watch herself do.
