Tear Jerker / Snow White with the Red Hair

• Early on, it's explained that Shirayuki was raised by her grandparents in Tanbarun. Before the start of the manga, they had passed away leaving Shirayuki to take care of the pharmacy on her own. She remains cheerful but the fact she is revealed to have lost her mother, both of her grandparents and her father being distant in means of protecting her makes you feel for Shirayuki.

• Zen's backstory explains he had dealt with a lot of health issues and injuries growing up, which Shirayuki finds out and is left in tears when Zen finds her. He gently pulls her into a hug to comfort her.

• Zen grew up, not having many friends besides his friend, Atri. Who was revealed as a traitor, working for the Lido rebels to enact revenge. Mitsuhide ends up killing him to protect Zen, as Atri is dying he tells Zen maybe their friendship would've been better if he wasn't a prince.
