- Leo runs off into a mine-field. Dong-jin follows him, shouting for him to come back. Then a mine explodes. Dong-jin runs towards the explosion and finds Leo lying on the ground. He tries to make Leo stand up, then radios for help, all while it's painfully obvious from the look on his face that he knows his dog is dead and doesn't want to believe it. Then he starts crying as he hugs Leo's body.
- Shortly after Leo's death we see Dong-jin sitting alone, holding one of Leo's old toys as he remembers them playing together. Ouch.
- When Hui-ra hears about Min-guk's supposed defection, she runs into the hospital and begs to see Lee Hyeok, thinking he was her husband's friend and can tell her the truth. To make it even more painful, she's unknowingly asking her husband's murderer for help.
