• After 380 days as the Women's World Champion - a reign only equalled in length by Bayley - and hot off the back of a spectacular defense against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania XL, a clearly-upset Rhea announced on the April 16, 2024 episode of WWE Raw that she had to vacate the title due to injury. Even more upsetting for both her and the fans is that the injury she sustained was at the hands of Liv Morgan, not in the ring, but during a backstage attack on the previous week's Raw that left her with a badly-damaged arm.^note The arm was already injured enough to wear a brace outside of competition as a precautionary measure even though she could still perform with it, but the attack aggravated the injury further than anticipated. After seeing her successfully defend the title again and again against such formidable opponents as Lynch, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez and Shayna Baszler, having her lose it this way was simply devastating to behold.
