Tear Jerker / Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge

• The entirety of Hanzo's clan and family getting slaughtered which sets him on his Roaring Rampage of Revenge. Specifically:
  • Satoshi's death at the hands of Sub-Zero (really Quan Chi in disguise), all while Hanzo is frozen in place and unable to stop it, crying out his son's name. The tears he is leaking out and the tone in his weeps do not help matters.
  • Before that, Hanzo and Satoshi discovering the corpses of their clan and Harumi, Hanzo's wife/Satoshi's mother. Seeing Hanzo react is one thing, but seeing Satoshi — a young child, mind you — being traumatized by it makes it more heartbreaking.
• And then, there's the twist in all of it. After finally finding Sub-Zero, dueling him to a standstill and confirming the kill by jumping into The Pit's bed of spikes with him in tow to ensure they both die... he finds out that Bi-Han was never the killer after Quan Chi, assured of Scorpion's weakness, tells him to his face that he set the whole thing up to turn Hanzo into a weapon. He sits there in grief not only at seemingly losing his chance at vengeance, but realizing that Bi-Han, as deep-rooted as the two clans' animosity was, was still honorable enough to not make that order. One could interpret Scorpion's decision to use Sub-Zero's signature Spine Rip on Quan Chi as a grotesque apology after the fact.
