Spoilers Off applies to the Moments subpages. BEWARE OF UNMARKED SPOILERS

  • Tadashi's situation in the first chapter, when he realizes he's dead, invisible to everyone and even worse, unable to comfort his mourning sibling.
  • In the movie, we only see Hiro dealing with his loss, which was heartbreaking enough already, thank you very much, but here we get to see the rest of the gang grieving over Tadashi's death as well. Go-go is probably the worst. She doesn't cry. She goes to the seedy parts of San Fransokyo and picks fights.
  • Tadashi can only watch his family and friends mourning, unable to do much to help them.
  • Jack starts to open to Tadashi after seeing him with Hiro, revealing he had a little sister whom he promised to take skating. You know what happened next.
  • To rip the nightmare out of Fred, Tadashi has to burn to death dozens of times. Fred has to watch it happening.
    • And Fred was still affected by his friend's death, and it painfully shows.
      Tadashi: It's okay. Everything's okay.
Fred: It's not okay. You're still gone.
  • When Hiro finally can see Tadashi in his human form, he first refuses to believe it's really his brother because kitsune are shapeshifting tricksters. Then Tadashi tries to leave and even if he swears he will come back, Hiro can't believe that because he didn't last time.
  • Fridge Tearjerker: Tadashi is thankfully reunited with his friends and Hiro, but with that comes the knowledge that Tadashi will have to watch them all grow old and die, while he remains an eternally young spirit. While Jack went through the same thing, he didn't remember his family for the first 300 years of his existence — by the time he remembered, his family has long since passed. Tadashi will have to watch it all up close.
