- The scenes in the CDC confinement facility. Especially the boy's father dying, and the handwritten letters taped to the glass. Although the letters themselves become a point of in-universe Fridge Brilliance on Riley's part.
Episode 7 - Size Matters
- When Shen Cassidy believes he is dying, he wishes he could have lived to see Nelson one day have a child of his own.
Episode 12 - The Event Horizon
- Gabriel gets shot by a sniper and the episode ends with him on the verge of death. Luckily, he survives in the finale.
