- While in the casino, Monkey goes on a bender. When confronted by a vision of the Elder, accusing him of poisoning himself, Monkey states that he’s drinking to numb the pain of his loss and that he is tired of caring.
- Monkey traps Bryce in a bathroom and tries to abandon his suit and guns to join another tribe of wild macaques. But then the new tribe is afraid of Monkey when he's forced to kill a rival tribe. Monkey comes to the realization that he's an outcast between worlds, and can never fit in with other macaques or humans.
- Bryce's backstory where he's forced to leave his wife and daughter and become an assassin because he killed his mother's latest boyfriend who turns out to be a criminal that stole a gang's money.
- Akiko, perhaps the most moral and wholesome character in the show had to watch her uncle, the last living relative she had, get shot dead by Monkey whom she had considered a friend. The grief drives her insane and she becomes the second Lady Bullseye.
