This is followed by the boy being captured and being forced to die at his fathers hands.

• Claude learning one of the dead werewolves was his brother.
• The many gravestones we see emphasize the terrible, ever mounting losses Fort Bailey has suffered.
• Wallace blowing his brains out after setting the fort ablaze.
