Tear Jerker / Garbage

I only listen to the sad sad songs...

A band that's only happy when it rains can produce some rather sad material.
  • The final songs on each Garbage album are, in chronological and progressive tear-inducing effectiveness order, as follows:
  • Other Garbage downers: "A Stroke of Luck," "My Lover's Box," "Medication," "Special," "The Trick is to Keep Breathing," "Can't Cry These Tears," "Cup of Coffee," "Silence is Golden," "Drive You Home," "Bleed Like Me," "It's All Over but the Crying," "Sugar," "Bright Tonight", "On Fire", "Empty", "If I Lost You" and "Even Though Our Love is Doomed".
  • Most of the songs on "Strange Little Birds" are quite sad. Even the ones that sound triumphant have lyrics that are full of desperation and anguish.
