• Emma's reaction to realizing that Michael was bitten, and her denial that he might turn while trying to keep anyone from shooting him before he turns. All because he wanted to retrieve her lucky trophy for her and prove himself as someone who could help her. Her breakdown and lashing out at the Slayer for killing him after he zombified really go to show just how much she really did care about him, even if they may have just seemed like a spoiled star and her yes-man on the surface.
• The zookeeper of "Scamper" the dolphin is heartbroken to have to say goodbye to Scamper and release him into the wild due to the escalating viral outbreak. Made worse by her concern at Scamper's erratic behaviour, implying Scamper was aware something very bad was happening... including to himself.
