- The first scene of the story involving Toshinori having to explain to Izuku what will happen to the two of them once he goes back in time. In the present, Toshinori will essentially die after his time jump and Izuku will cease to exist in the new timeline. While both of them try to make the most of their remaining time together alongside Inko, the fear and anxiety of being separated forever haunts the two of them.
- The countdown for the time jump where Izuku holds onto his father and sheds his last tears while Toshinori delivers his parting words of love.
- The first thing that Toshinori does when waking up in the past? Draw a picture of his son so he won't be forgotten followed by him crying for his loss.
- In Chapter 8, Toshi gets an emotional breakdown for being unable to save a fisherman from was near an explosion as the Number One Hero stopped a villain from killing thirty nine lives. This leads to him having a breakdown in his office and wishing that he never took his time travel mission to begin with.
- In the following chapter, he has a nightmare where he sees himself hurting a young Izuku. When he wakes up, Toshinori grabs onto a pillow out of despair and comforts it as if it was the crying boy from his dreams.
