For a Scratch game, Alex Danger Dice contains a surprisingly high number of these.
- Punching Steve. While mostly Played for Laughs the game does do a good job at guilt tripping the player for doing this.
- Day 6. Especially if you haven't completed enough objectives. During the final hours the first 3 worlds are unnaturally quiet and empty, and only the Phantom Guardians remain in them. To make matters worse, a haunting remix of the Final Hours track from Majora's Mask overrides all music except the Phantom Guardian's theme.
- The Worst Ending. The world you've grown attached to and enjoyed exploring, completely destroyed. Twice as painful if you got this ending by dying to the final boss.
- The Bad Ending isn't much better. You've saved the world, about to go home when suddenly Shadow interrupts you, lunges at you and the screen turns black. The next cutscene confirms you and Mr DT, your supporter through this, to be dead.
- Mr DT's Heroic Sacrifice in the Neutral Ending. He lets Alex take the last escape pod, remaining on the DT Ark as it blows up in the sky.
