  • This episode marks the first appearance of Bonzo, who originally appeared in the 1951 Ronald Reagan Movie Bedtime for Bonzo, about a college professor who tries to teach morals to the titular chimpanzee.
  • After playing a snippet of "Toccata and Fugue in D minor", Ted Heath starts playing "I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside".
  • Ian Paisley refers to God as "Mr Immortal-Invisible-God-Only-Wise", referencing the hymn that starts with that line.
  • The episode closes out with "Perfect", where Michael Jackson sings about how talented he is whilst being surrounded by dancing zombies until he transforms into Diana Ross and sings "Stop! In the Name of Love".
  • The episode features the first instalment of The President's Brain is Missing. The title is a parody of the film The President's Plane is Missing.
