Difference, Equality, Justice
—The Black Sheep Motto
At the prestigious Satree Lerdla Wittaya school, students are ranked according to points into six different classes: A, B, C, D, E, and F.
Class A students have the most privileges, including their own canteen, and the opportunity to take more classes. When Pang, a class A student, gets caught cheating on her exams, she gets sent down to Class F. She's determined to get back, no matter what, but getting tangled up with the Class F girls might change her perspective.
Tropes seen in The Underclass include
- Absurdly Powerful Student Council: The Student Court has the power to, among other things, detain students overnight.
- Apathetic Teacher: Many of the teachers no longer stand up to Deputy Director Wichai, including Ms May.
- Hidden Depths: All of the Class F students have hidden depths.
- La RĂ©sistance: Black Sheep, which protests the unfair rules the deputy director imposes.
- Two-Teacher School: The only teachers that feature in the series are Ms May - Class F's advisor - and Tee - a PE teacher.
