- Apocalypse How: Invoked. In issue #61's Starman story, Doctor Doog and his Secret Brotherhood of the Electron try to take over the world by using Professor Davis' Ultra-Dynamo machine to attempt social collapse in the United States. They use it to make airplane engines, power plants, telephone lines and more burn throughout the country. Fortunately, his plans are thwarted by Starman.
- The Commissioner Gordon: FBI Agent Woodley Allen is Ted Knight's informant, alerting him whenever trouble appears. They meet at an abandoned cabin in the woods to share information.
