Oko Jelenia(Deer's Eye) is a series of sci-fi novels authored by a polish writer Andrzej Pilipiuk. Originally released in years 2008-2011 and made up of six books with the seventh one released in 2015. It revolves around a group of humans from XIX to XXI centuries who were saved from death by an alien named Skrat in exchange for becoming his servants. He then sents them to Northern Europe in the Late Middle Ages/early Renaissance to recover the titular artifact that contains the mind of another alien of his race. Specifically Marek Oberech can be pointed at as the main protagonist of the series as he's the only character that gets to be written in first person perspective and whose inner thoughts are presented to the reader.
