Roleplay / We Could Be Round Four

Go To

Round 4 of We Could Be started on September 25th, 2022.

This round is unique among We Could Be rounds in that its teams are thematically based (Eastern vs. Western animated canons, aka Team Subs vs. Team Dubs).

Round 4 of We Could Be provides examples of:

  • Break His Heart to Save Him: The Case 6 culprit Oswald tries to do this, acting like they never cared about any of the other characters to convince them to vote. However, he's not able to keep it together for more than a moment, and everyone quickly riots and chooses to each vote for themselves.
    • A more minor version in Case 5 as well, where Audrey tries to convince Kirishima she's a terrible person so he won't miss her.
  • It Amused Me: Despite powers being mostly negated, the Mayor does let Jack challenge Haru to a Xiaolin Showdown because he thinks it'd be funny.
  • Magical Profanity Filter: Both swears and words relating to death and murder are censored. It affects everyone, even the Mayor himself.
  • Not Quite Dead: During the Week 3 Thursday event, Bubblegum and Jade stay alive long enough for some last words. In Week 4, Adamant's shattered body turns out to still be slightly conscious until the Mayor completely disintegrates him during the execution. Then in Week 6, Wood Man turns out to be still alive despite being decapitated, enough to not count as an actual murder.
  • Once per Episode: As of Week 5, every trial has involved someone physically attacking the culprit.
  • Wham Episode: Week 3 Thursday wasn't locked, making most people think nothing would happen. Then in the middle of Thursday, a mod top-level went up revealing Bubblegum and Jade having blown themselves up trying to make a portal out of there.
