Monocoque was established in Gundam Century, four years before Zeta. It was referenced in the 2024 RG Gundam 2.0's design, it just doesn't show up too often because of its place in the deep lore regarding mobile suit structure

** ''Zeta'' introduced another, somewhat unusual example. At the start of the show, the Next Big Thing in mobile suit tech is the Movable Frame, a skeleton-like framework that allowed for greater flexibility and freedom of movement, which in turn allowed the creation of TransformingMecha down the line. In order to justify this, it was said that all previous generations of MS were empty "shells" with their armor supporting the weight of all their internal machinery. While this concept [[TruthInTelevision does exist in real life]] (it's called [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monocoque Monocoque]]), the writers eventually realized that [[ArtisticLicensePhysics it doesn't make a lick of sense for giant robots]], and over time this explanation has been mentioned less and less.

Added DiffLines:

* ''Manga/HareGuu'': The ''Final'' OVA involves Weda's siblings hiring assassins to kill her because they're after her inheritance. The opening scenes of the OVA explicitly show the siblings grimly reading Weda's father's will and calling an assassin. However, the later ''Hareguu'' manga reveals that [[spoiler:Weda's siblings are perfectly nice people who weren't involved with the assassination at all; the actual culprit was Hare's cousin]].

* The anime, and especially the Battle of Gods movie, treat Super Saiyan God Goku as actually being pretty close to a rival for Beerus, even stating Beerus had to use 70% of his power to keep up. Since then, Beerus has essentially just become a moving goalpost whose power is constantly retconned, where no matter how much stronger the characters get they still just can't reach Beerus.

** Priscilla was clearly slitting Ilena’s throat and killing her, But that got retconned to Ilena losing her arm.
