* The anime, and especially the Battle of Gods movie, treat Super Saiyan God Goku as actually being pretty close to a rival for Beerus, even stating Beerus had to use 70% of his power to keep up. Since then, Beerus has essentially just become a moving goalpost whose power is constantly retconned, where no matter how much stronger the characters get they still just can't reach Beerus.
