• In the Hands Up episode "The Void," Ula complains about people liking Margo more than her, saying that "green is not a creative color."
• Unusual Battle: In Throw Em, Fudge appears saying "WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE IDEA? MINE IS BEING CREATIVE".
• Fazbear and Friends (ZAMination): An episode shows Yellow Guy, Duck and Red Guy arguing about colors, and since they don't know how to know them, the Rainbow Friends offer to help them, singing a song to know what the color is, however, Yellow Guy ruins everything while trying to sing about black which results in the Rainbow Friends starting to shout "Black is not a color!" and they end up gouging out their eyes.

• The creators of The Amazing World of Gumball collaborated with Becky and Joe themselves on the episode "The Puppets". As a result, much of the episode resembles a more child-friendly DHMIS, though it definitely doesn't lose the sinister undertone.
