In order to obtain the program that removes the virus that infected Aoi, Yusaku commences a Duel against Revolver, with Ai, who is also known as Ignis, as a wager. Using the Link Monsters he obtained in his previous Duels, Playmaker was able to destroy Revolver's Cracking Dragon. However, the back-and-forth Duel between them takes a new turn as Revolver activates a shocking Skill!

- Captain Obvious: Ai points out that Link Spider is, due to absence of a Level, unaffected by Cracking Dragon's effect.
- It Only Works Once: The previous time Cracking Dragon was summoned, it was next to an Extra Monster Zone, which Decode Talker took advantage of to up its ATK. This time, as Yusaku expected, Revolver makes the smarter play of summoning it in the center Main Monster Zone so it can't be linked to Decode Talker, depriving Yusaku's monster of the ATK boost.
- New Media Are Evil: Revolver holds this opinion, not liking how VRAINS basically lets people lie to each other, seeing it all as a falsehood before life and breath.
- Scenery Gorn: Revolver really made a number on LINK VRAINS, turning it from a modern looking city to a magma-filled wasteland. Akira appropriately commented that it looked like Hell.
