Recap / Yu Gi Oh VRAINS Ep 13 Battle Record

Go To

After his fierce battle against Revolver, Yusaku analyzes the information about Ignis together with Kusanagi. Meanwhile, Ghost Girl, the mysterious Duelist who witnessed Playmaker, receives an interview in Link VRAINS. She starts talking about the Knights of Hanoi's attacks, as well as Playmaker's battles.

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Breather Episode: After a long and fierce battle between Playmaker and Revolver which spanned four episodes, no major Duels take place this episode.
  • Do Not Call Me "Paul": Zigzagged. While Frog tells off Pigeon for addressing the former by his real name, he oddly doesn't when Ghost Girl does the same. Later, Pigeon is forgiven for addressing Frog by his real name. It's possible that Ghost Girl gets a pass first because, unlike Pigeon, Frog hasn't any authority on him, and second because she's an informant, so knowing stuff is what she does.
  • Recap Episode: This episode summarises the events of the first twelve episodes.
  • The Teaser: Ema approaches Kusanagi's hot dog stand, orders a coffee and two chili dogs, and discusses Link VRAINS and Charisma Duelists (Playmaker in particular) with him. After she leaves, Yusaku approaches Kusanagi and offers to help him erase footage of Playmaker uploaded online.
  • Yank the Dog's Chain: Frog and Pigeon bought footage about Playmaker from Ghost Girl, which included an interview and added info about Ignis and what was revealed on the duel against Revolver. While it was quite expensive (apparently, it took several bonuses from both of them), if they could have showed it, it would have been worth it. At the end of the episode, Yusaku deleted it.
