As the duel between Jaden and Chazz continues, the spell on Chazz seems to be even stronger than ever but Jaden believes that there's for him yet.
- The Battle Didn't Count: Since Chazz wasn't himself for most of the duel, Jaden declares that his victory against him didn't and refuses his medals.
- He's Back!: After spending much of the season as Sartorious' brainwashed peon, Chazz regains his senses and declares that the Society doesn't define him.
- Laser-Guided Amnesia: After Jaden made him come to his senses, Chazz has no memories of his time being in the Society of Light.
- Mistaken for Thief: After coming to his senses and having no memory of the current duel, Chazz believes that Jaden stole his cards and used them against him, and it doesn't help that the Ojamas lie and say Jaden stole them just to save face.
- Ungrateful Bastard: Despite Jaden helping the Ojama Trio reunite with Chazz, they not only neglect to help him but lie to Chazz that Jaden stole them and threaten violence on them.
- Chazz also isn't in a thankful mood after Jaden saved him from being brainwashed, though unlike the Ojamas, he has the excuse that he believes Jaden stole his cards.
- Significant Wardrobe Shift: Upon breaking free from Sartorious' control, Chazz goes back to wearing his iconic black jacket, mid-duel no less, and throws the Society uniform away.
