Chazz hires a duelist by the name of Howard X Miller to duel Jaden and demolish the red dorm if Jaden loses.
- Amoral Attorney: The dub changes X from a generic pro duelist hired by Chazz to Sartorius' lawyer, and he's willing to let a dorm get torn down if he defeats Jaden. Even before that, he steps on an innocent flower for no reason.
- Death by Irony: More "Defeat By Irony", X loses the duel when Jaden makes him run out of cards to draw.
- Light Is Good: Jaden debuts Neo Spacian Twinkle Moss, a light attribute monster that helps him win.
- Mechanically Unusual Fighter: X's strategy is to make his opponent lose through running their deck out of cards, hence his dubbed surname of Miller.
- Not So Above It All: X mentions he wanted to be a pastry chef when he was younger.
