Zorc's defense points have let him weather the attacks from Yugi's forces with barely a scratch, and Yami Bakura gloats that as the Game Master, he's the god of the realm. Using brainwashed Mind Dice containing souls that bend to his will, Bakura has Zorc attack the players, which should kill them instantly. When making the calculation, however, he discovers that Zorc's attack left them all with one HP—and the arm used to enter the data is moving on its own. Ryou Bakura types that he won't let Yami Bakura kill his friends, and he'll fight as well.
Yami Bakura realizes the arm Ryou's using corresponds to Zorc's left arm, as in the game world he and Zorc are the same. He shoves the computer aside and continues the game. Anzu is able to heal the party, and when Zorc attacks, Ryou fumbles the Mind Dice to make Zorc attack himself. Yami Bakura rams his left hand into the castle parapet to stop Ryou from interfering further, but Zorc's deep wound allows Yugi to try and tame his left arm. White Wizard Bakura, Ryou's character, appears and joins the group. His magic lowers Zorc's defenses considerably, and the party grievously wounds him.
Cornered, Bakura has Zorc use his Last Resort, skyrocketing his attack and defense power and letting him attack first. He uses Zorc Inferno to try and wipe everyone out, but the White Wizard shields everyone with his high-level spells, converting his own HP into magical energy. Anzu offers to heal him, but he asks that everyone attack Zorc on the next turn instead, with Yami Yugi realizing Zorc's exposed his weak spot by transforming. They attack him, but can't finish him off, and on the next turn Zorc and the players can simultaneously attack. Yami Yugi rolls with all of his friends' passion, while Yami Bakura transfers his own soul into his dice so he'll get a super critical. Both players roll 00, and in case of a tie, Bakura wins.
As Yami Bakura begins to gloat, he notices his dice glowing and cracking, and realizes Ryou Bakura put his own soul in the dice as well. Ryou will protect his friends even if it means his own soul will shatter—but Yami Bakura won't allow it and attempts to cast him out, using his Ring to attack him with a laser beam. However, Yugi's friends have put their souls into the dice as well, shielding Ryou from harm, and Bakura's dice crack apart. With a final attack from Anzu, Zorc is destroyed. Yami Bakura loses the game, and the Millennium Ring falls to the floor. Ryou wakes up unharmed, and everyone's souls are restored. Later, everyone is late for school and finds Mr. Karita was also restored to normal, though he remembers nothing. Ryou makes a diorama chronicling their adventure in Monster World, including Yami Yugi.
