The second duel of the Battle City quarterfinals is about to begin and the lottery draw pits Joey against Odion, who is still posing as Marik. This is just fine with Joey, who is incredibly angry and wants revenge for his abduction. The duel begins with Odion playing Temple of the Kings, and afterwards he spends his turns doing nothing but setting traps. With Giant Trunade in his hand, Joey decides to spend a few turns building an attack force, with the intention of using his magic card to get rid of Odion's traps so he can finish him in one onslaught. Unfortunately, once he gets the chance to play it, Odion counters with Judgment of Anubis, which negates Joey's magic card and destroys his monsters, taking a big chunk of his life points with them. And things only get worse when Odion activates three of a particular type of card known as a Trap Monster, his Embodiments of Aphophis!
