- All for Nothing: Omi and Jack Spicer call on a Xiaolin Showdown for the Hoduku Mouse Shen Gong Wu. Jack wins the showdown, but once the giant spiders show up, the Wu is destroyed in a pit of lava. Therefore, the monks and Jack's attempt to undo the error of releasing the spiders turned out to be in vain. Fortunately, Chase Young helps Omi come up with an alternate solution.
- Atlantis: The actual mythological place where the monks and Jack end up. Unfortunately, the spiders have overrun the city.
- Call-Back: Master Fung mentioned that Dojo had destroyed Atlantis earlier in "Enter the Dragon". However, the city seems to be intact.
- Malaproper: Zigzagged with Omi's usual misuse of slang:Omi: (After the monks survive a cave-in) It would appear that Lady Luck is finally spitting on us!
Raimundo: You mean shining on us.
(The monks are thrown into the air when Jack's digger bursts into the cave)
Clay: I reckon the fella had it right the first time! - Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: The monks and Jack uncover the Hoduku Mouse, but in doing so, they release a swarm of giant spiders.
- Once an Episode: The "Mud Wrestling" Xiaolin Showdown pitting Omi against Jack for the Hoduku Mouse, the winner being the first to find the Mouse in the mud, with Omi's Orb of Tornami versus Jack's Tongue of Saiping; Jack wins after using the Tongue of Saiping to summon a bunch of insects to attack Omi and bring the Hoduku Mouse to him.
- Sea Monster: Jack is attacked by one when he is trying to escape. That monster was probably the Leviathan of mythology.
