Episode 68: Pursuant
Takes place October 15-22
Paul comes across evidence of a future dictator interfering with the present, apparently building up a resource base for his later campaign. Two time travellers then turn up, one happy to help improve the future, the other wanting to preserve it. The Justice League seizes their time machine, however, and does what it can to arrest the dictator's minions, since they were engaged in assassinations for hire.
Paul is then approached and abducted by members of the Legion of Super-Heroes, who bring him to Vanishing Point, a station isolated from the regular flow of time, and tell him that something is dramatically altering the timeline. Paul then meets the Time Trapper, who sends him away through time.
The title's meaning is unclear, but may refer to how the episode is all about timelines and causation.
- Cliffhanger: The episode ends with Paul being sent away from Vanishing Point by the Time Trapper.
- Conqueror from the Future: Per Degaton isn't exactly starting his conquest early, but he's prepping for it.
- Just Between You and Me: The Renegade tells David Cain about his comic knowledge, and how David Cain originally died. This time, it's death by orange power ring.
- There Is a God!: Lots of people are awed to see Paul's recording of speaking with an angel.
- Timey-Wimey Ball: Apparently there are actual rules about what time travel can and can't do, but they're too complex for most mortals to properly understand.
