Episode 120: Krummkreuz
Takes place 16-17 September 2012.
Paul finds himself on Earth 10. After making contact with the locals, he assists them in fighting off the possessed invaders and opening a portal back to Earth 666 to reconvene with Superman, Overman, and Overgirl in order to defeat Demon Superman.
Their combined forces attack Demon Superman, distracting him long enough for Crusader to use the Spear of Destiny to purge the demon's influence around the world, freeing all the possessed all at once. In the aftermath, the New Reichsmen stay for a few days to make sure that Wolf Krieger won't try to escape to their world. Paul also stays to keep an eye on them. While doing this, he reaches out to the local Mister Terrific because, as the most intelligent man currently alive on Earth 666, he's needed to lead the start of the rebuilding. Mister Terrific's willpower in forcing himself to step up to the plate despite also recovering like the rest of the inhabitants of Earth 666 draws a green power ring, making him the sector's new Green Lantern.
- Alternate Universe:
- A version of the SI ended up on a version of Transformers: Prime. He's a mercenary with Slipstream, as well as in a relationship with the Cybertronian.
- The premise of this episode is that Paul is on his own on Earth 10, necessitating him working with the German Empire to combat the demonic forces invading it.
- Bittersweet Ending: Even though the demon possessing Superman 666 has been defeated, the world isn't automatically fixed, and the people who died in the meantime (the majority of Earth's population, with less than 2 billion left) stay dead. Rebuilding the world is an effort that will most likely take years of hard work for the locals, and it's likely that it can never be the same again.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Paul subdues several vampires from Earth 666 by impaling them on a Tree of Pain
construct. He's impressed that they survive it; apparently they're some kind of superior vampire breed. - Mistaken Identity: When Paul first ends up on Earth 10, the locals first believe him to be Paul Freeman and try to apprehend him because he isn't authorized to use his power ring.
