- Chekhov's Gun: Bloom happens to find the secret magical archive of Alfea by accident while following a pixie pet that turns out to be one of the pixie Concorda's pixie pet companions. Her knowledge of it's location leads to the villains managing to get Alfea's piece of the Codex in a later episode.
- Narrator: Bloom acts like one for this first parti of the episode in the 4Kids dub.
- No One Could Survive That!: Lord Darkar says this as he throws Aisha off his castle. Not only does she survive, but she manages to make it all the way to Alfea before collapsing from exhaustion.
