After a failed attempt to test his flying powers, Guillermo breaks his ankle and Nadja has to bring him to a familiar vet. Meanwhile, Colin Robinson can no longer feed as an injured eye suddenly makes him interesting, so Nandor tries his best to help him be boring again.

- Animal Testing: To see how Guillermo's vampire powers are developing, Laszlo injects three frogs with Guillermo's blood, resulting in all three frogs growing hair like Guillermo and gaining the ability to fly. This last part convinces Laszlo that Guillermo is now able to fly as well.
- Back-Alley Doctor: The familiar vet is a shady vampire-doctor who operates from a filthy hospital room hidden behind a fake wall in a vet clinic. He also is a bit too fond of having familiars that are brought in put down.
- Energy Donation: How Colin Robinson is ultimately saved; when all attempts to help Colin feed again fail, Nandor has Laszlo use a machine to directly transfer his life energy to Colin.
- Epic Fail: The ways Nandor and Colin keep failing at allowing Colin to feed on people become a marvel to behold; Colin gets his foot run over by a car and becomes an internet sensation because of it. Then the man who ran over him offers to bring him to a hospital, but turns out to be a complete bore himself who considers Colin interesting, forcing Colin and Nandor to jump out of the driving car. Then they make their way to a convenience store, which turns out to be in the middle of being robbed, and the robber is thrilled to see Colin as he recognizes him from TikTok.
- Internal Reveal: Nadja discovers Guillermo has been turned. She becomes another Secret-Keeper if only because she knows how Nandor will react if he finds out.
- Right for the Wrong Reasons: Nadja is freaked out when the familiar vet wants to test Guillermo's blood. Not because she knows about him being turned, but becaus she fears the test will reveal Guillermo's Van Helsing-herritage.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Laszlo's first plan to help Colin is to use a machine to transfer Nandor's life force to Colin, but Nandor bails out when he's told how much it will hurt.
- Shout-Out: The bizarre hairy frogs peep "Guil-LER-mo" a la the famed Bud
wesier commercial campaign. - Social Media Before Reason: When Colin Robinson walks up to a terrace to drain the people there, his foot is run over by a car. Immediately, all the patrons at the terrace break out their phones to film him, and soon a video of him makes it onto TikTok.
- Time for Plan B: Laszlo's machine was actually plan B, and when Nandor learns how much it is going to hurt him he goes back to his original plan to simply help Colin Robinson be boring again. After all his attempts to do so fail and Colin is about to die, he finally agrees to use the machine.
