Tawnypelt's Clan is the fourteenth novella; one of the three in the
Path of a Warrior compilation alongside
Redtail's Debt and
Shadowstar's Life. It takes place during the events of
The Raging Storm.

Upon returning to the Clan after taking her daughter-in-law and grandson away on a quest without Tigerstar's permission, she steps down from the deputy role, feeling that she's no longer the best cat for the job (because she's aging and thinks the Clan needs someone younger, someone who isn't the leader's mother).
