Wario is stuck in a loop where, if he dies, he resets the day.
This episode of SMG4 contains examples of:
- A God Am I: When he realizes that he's immortal.
- Big "OMG!": Almost every single one of Wario's deaths are preceded by one of these.
- Butt-Monkey: Both Wario and Waluigi get it rough with Wario dying over and over and Waluigi getting attacked by the monster in the toilet.
- Call-Back: During the Death Montage, Wario gets killed by Mario driving a Taxi.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Why did Death curse Wario with the "Groundhog Day" Loop? Because Wario took the last scoop of choco mint swirl ice cream. Wario even laughs at Death for this reason.
- "Groundhog Day" Loop: If Wario dies, he resets the day.
- Let's Get Dangerous!: At one point after having enough of dying over and over, Wario finally decides to fight back against everything that killed him before. However, he ends up still dying at the end of it before realizing he is immortal.
- Resurrection/Death Loop: the whole plot. Wario finds himself living the day over and over, dying differently each time to the point that he makes it a goal to last the whole day without dying.
- Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Wario tries to do a Palpatine-style corkscrew jump toward Mace Windu. He ends up getting his head impaled on Mace's lightsaber instead.
- Synchronous Episodes: One of Wario's deaths is being run over by Mario and Luigi driving through the mall in a taxi, suggesting this episode takes place the same day as "Super Mario Taxi".
- Too Dumb to Live: Two of Wario's deaths were caused by driving on the wrong side of the road, and eating a whole pizza in one bite.
